Ill Manors e-media: Tag London campaign

1) The Ill Manors tag London event was an interactive form of promotion since it had people express their opinions on London. Selected tweets would then be projected throughout London. These tweets would be presented in a graffiti style and created by the graffiti artists. This would present the views of those who don't usually give out their political view. These tweets would also have early access to the album on SoundCloud for people to access.

2) The Ill Manors Tag London campaign promotes the film in the sense that it would promote the film as it uses the track that was also used in the film trailer. In addition to this the hashtag #ILLMANORS is also used which can also

3) The synergy that is present in both Tag London and other formats of promotion is that they all promote the same film/album. Since Plan B directed Ill Manors and had produced the music for the film, the two would have similar aspects when they are being promoted. An example would be the use of music. The track that has been used in this advertising programme has been widely used in the other formats of promotion. An example of this would be the Film trailer which had also used this track in the trailer. This could be seen as a form of synergy. In addition to this, they also use synergy with the location of London being a part of the promotion. This would be evidenced as both the film and the event uses London but in different ways. However these different ways have a similar purpose. For instance, the film portrays the darker and bad side of London as it shows a more run down version of the city. Meanwhile, the Tag London event had presented the views of London from the perspective of people in twitter. A majority of the tweets that were presented in the  Tag London event had portrayed London as bad which was similar to the representation of London.

4) The user generated content would be more ideal to do since they might have had to try and make their community involved with expressing their opinions on topics. This would make Ill Manors more of an intriguing way to get people to watch as they might think that this is an interesting marketing scheme. Also those who would share the same opinions as the tweets would also feel intrigued into watching the film since they might want to see their opinions portrayed in film.
